“There is no greater force against evil in this world than the love of a man and woman in marriage.”

Cardinal Raymond Burke

Congratulations!

I’m honored to be considered for photographing one of the most incredible days of your life! My specialty is the Catholic wedding. I know the mass inside and out, not only as a faithful Catholic myself, but also as a wedding coordinator for a Catholic Church for the past 10+ years. There is so much profound beauty in the mass and all the small details, and I LOVE capturing all of it for you to re-live and enjoy for generations!

Here are some basic steps in the booking process:

  1. Reach out! Introduce yourself and let’s start a conversation!

  2. Meet to chat, preferably in person, to share more about your day, your vision, your priorities, and you as a couple! It’s also a great time for you to get to know me better. A lot goes into deciding who should be your photographer including price, availability, style, but also connection! It is so important that we feel it’s mutually a good fit because I will be spending the entire day with you, nearly every moment, and liking one another is important!

  3. Sign a contract and place a non-refundable retainer fee to secure a place on my calendar.

  4. Plan your timeline! I want to be a part of the process, to ensure your day runs smoothly and the photography meets all your hopes and expectations. I’m here to help throughout your planning process! At the very least, we will connect 4-6 weeks prior to your day to solidify the timeline.

  5. Enjoy the big day with me right there with you, capturing all the special moments!

The average investment for my clients is $3600.

Engagement

Engagement sessions are all about having fun, celebrating your love, and basking in the excitement of this season! If I am your wedding photographer, this is an extra important time as we practice for what it feels like to work together on your actual wedding day.

Sessions begin at $400.

Who does Katie serve best?

  • A bride and groom who know the Holy Mass is the most important part of the whole wedding day and want all those sacred details and moments captured!

All the parts of the day are wonderful for their own reasons. From start to finish, I pray it is more than you could have ever hoped for. But the Sacrament is the foundation of your future together and my couples know the Holy Mass is the heart of the day and foundation for their union. After the sacrament, we party, of course!

  • A couple that is looking for more than just another vendor... but rather, someone who arrives on their day and they think, "I am SOOO glad she is here!"

I know it sounds cliche, but I want to be more than a vendor. I want to provide more than a transaction! I hope you get to know me and truly enjoy my help in the planning process and my presence throughout your day!

  • A bride and groom who are excited about being present to their family and friends and are looking for a timeline that allows for margin to enjoy moments, connections, and people.

There are certainly times throughout the day where we need to keep a schedule going, but I don’t want to feel like photography dictates your day. Your wedding day will go so fast and you may never have all of these people together again in the same room. Building a day that allows for natural moments of connection to happen is a priority for me.

  • A couple who wants their gallery to be authentic to how the day unfolded.

I believe strongly in authenticity in all things in life. I strive to photograph and edit my images to reflect true-to-life colors and authentic moments. We use a combination of poses and prompts for part of the day but my favorite parts of any day are those that are unscripted and happen naturally. I don’t believe in in-depth edits or alterations to images. I want you to remember your day for all the beauty, joy, and goodness that was there, not fabricated moments that were not real to you or your day.

  • A couple who is so excited to no longer have to say goodbye (and drive home in the dark in the winter cold) at the end of the night!

I remember being so excited to get married but practically, I couldn’t wait to no longer have to climb into a cold car on a dark winter evening to drive 25 minutes across the Twin Cities just to go to bed. The excitement of joining your home and life together after your wedding is tangible and exciting, something you can feel in the energy and excitement of your wedding day!

  • A bride and groom who aren't afraid to share their favorite saints and feast days with me!

I love getting to know my clients and enjoy hearing how the Saints often pursue relationships with us here on earth! I also get excited when a specific devotion has shaped your relationship! Tell me all about it!
